Zhejiang University (Ninghai) Joint Research Center for Bio-based Materials and Carbon Neutral Development
Established in May 2021, the Zhejiang University (Ninghai) Joint Research Center for Bio-based Materials and Carbon Neutral Development is a university-local government collaborative research institution focused on carbon neutrality. With the construction industry — a key sector for achieving emission reduction and energy performance optimization — as its primary focus, the center concentrates on bio-based material research and development to lead sustainable industrial development. Its work primarily encompasses fundamental and applied scientific research on bio-based materials, the promotion and application of bamboo, timber, and bio-based building materials in urban construction, as well as policy planning.
